When you diagnose chronic endometritis by histological examination, what do you do if you cannot find any abnormal bacteria in the microbiome? Question to Ichiyama: In your daily practice, which method do you preferred for the diagnosis of CE, and what antibiotics regimen would you use once CE is found?Posted onMay 2, 2021 10:05 am

Question to Dr Simon: Is there any data linking different methods for diagnosing CE to IVF outcome indicating one method to be superior to another?Posted onMay 2, 2021 9:59 am

I have a question for Dr. Simon. I think microbiota analysis is a very expensive test. Often, patients refuse to be retested. What do you do in such cases? In addition, as Dr. Ichiyama mentioned in his presentation, I also think that inflammation and infection are not synonymous. It is questionable to make a diagnosis of inflammation without biopsy. I also think that the presence of bacteria and infection are different concepts. Recently in Japan, infectious disease specialists have been sounding the alarm about the overuse of antibacterial drugs in reproductive medicine. I think it is premature to administer antimicrobial agents based on the results of microbiota analysis, but what do you think?Posted onMay 2, 2021 9:57 am
